A base salary is used to calculate Social Security Fund contributions. The monthly base salary required in order to deduct contributions is from 1,650 to 15,000 baht.
What does withholding tax on payroll actually mean?
Employment income follows a withholding system, in which the employer deducts from the employee’s salary an income tax. A withholding tax return should be filed by the employer every month to the Revenue Department within 7 days of the succeeding month after the payment was made, along with the amount of tax due.
